GroomIQ ("we", "us") provides AI-assisted dog grooming guidance. This policy explains what we collect and how we use it.
Account details (email, name) when you register. Photos you upload or capture for analysis. Grooming preferences, saved dog profiles, scan history, and assistant chat messages you create.
Photos are sent securely to OpenAI (OpenAI, L.L.C.), our third-party AI provider, to identify breed and coat type and generate grooming guidance. We store your scans so you can revisit them. You may delete any scan or your entire account at any time.
Breed and coat analysis is performed by OpenAI, L.L.C. ("OpenAI"). To do this, GroomIQ transmits the dog photo you capture or upload, together with a short text prompt, to OpenAI, which returns the analysis. Results are estimates and may be inaccurate. OpenAI does not use your photos to train its models beyond what is required to return your result, and provides the same or an equivalent level of data protection as described in this policy.
We do not sell your personal data. The only third party we share your dog photo and prompt with is OpenAI (OpenAI, L.L.C.), and only to generate your grooming result. We also use infrastructure providers strictly to host and operate the service.
You can delete individual scans and profiles in-app. Deleting your account (Settings → Delete Account & Data) permanently removes your scans, dog profiles, and chats from our systems.
GroomIQ is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
